Bonfils Batoya is a student at Saint Marc Lycee in the 2nd year Post basic, native of Musaga, Bujumbura-Mairie. Before joining the club, he thought a young boy like him could by no means reconcile people. He thought that if conflicts break out, only authorities have skills to put end to conflicts. When he joined the club Burundi my country at the school, he was taught about peaceful resolution of the conflict and finally, he realized that even students can contribute to conflict resolution. He is very happy to have been able to reconcile two students who had conflict over theft. He helped them bury the hatchet after compensation and averted further escalation which could have resulted in expulsion of one of the students concerned.
